In lieu of the Minnesota State Fair happening right now while I am in Europe, I thought I would post some photos that I took some time ago. I never really liked the state fair when I lived in Minnesota, so taking photos made it fun for me. I used 35mm film in my holga camera which made the process a little more interesting. I had to jerry-rig the camera to let it accommodate the 35mm film.
I'm excited to announce the Hawaii book covers that I photographed for Where Traveler Guestbooks won the 2016 Pele Silver Award for Design! These books are distributed through out numerous hotel rooms among all the islands. This was a fun assignment for me because I had a ton of creative freedom!
In March, I was commissioned to shoot for Inspire, a clean energy company based in Santa Monica. The goal was to get stylized graphic lifestyle shots that felt real with subtle hints of energy. I did stills as well as a little bit of video for their website and other promotions.
